Demographics is the study of human populations and their structures. This is a time of unprecedented change for our world. People groups that have been isolated from each other for thousands of years are coming into contact with and living alongside one another. Cultures are being shared and new societies are forming. The goal of this website is to simply record the changes in the structure of human populations.

The primary goal of this website is to be a historical record of demographic changes that are taking place during our time in history. Most of our historical record so far has been written from the top down. That is, academics or the ruling classes are the primary source material for our history books. This website aims to record the historic demographic changes our world is currently witnessing, as experienced by everyday people.

Sensitivities of Our Current Culture
It seems that demographics can be a sensitive subject for our culture at this point in history. This website has no political or cultural goals at all. This is simply a record of what our world is currently like and observations on the changes currently underway. The reader can decide on their own if these changes are good or bad.
Furthermore, this website exists for readers far into the future. I want them to have firsthand information about this subject matter. So any objections or congratulations from people alive today are meaningless. This website records facts as adequately and accurately as they can be gathered. All articles will contain archived references.
